I'm coming in from out of town and staying overnight. Where should I stay?

We recommend our preferred hotel partners: Bourbon Orleans, Hotel LeMarais, Dauphine Orleans, Audubon Cottages, Hotel Mazarin, Crowne Plaza – N.O. Airport, Hotel St. Helene, Hotel Royal, and the Melrose Mansions.

Where do I park?

For certain shows, valet parking will be offered. Please see indiviual show listings. Additionally, there are surface lots and garages in the area. Valet parking can also be arranged for private events.

What if I'm late to the performance? Do you allow late seating?

If you are late, you may be held out or reseated until an appropriate time for you to get to your assigned seat. Arriving late disturbs the performers on stage and audience members. It is best to arrive about 30 minutes early so that you have time to purchase concessions, take care of personal needs, find your seat, and read the program before the show starts.

Are children allowed to attend theatrical events? Do children need a ticket?

Everyone must have a ticket regardless of age. Children under the age of four are encouraged to attend only special children's or family events. For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, children who are disruptive to other guests will be asked to leave the theater seating. Parents should use their discretion when deciding what shows are appropriate for children. Please see the individual show listings or contact the Joy Theater for recommended age.
